Lois was born on January 23, 1921 on a farm west of Caldwell, Idaho to Fred O., Sr. and Iva Burris. She attended school in Caldwell and graduated from the College of Idaho in 1968.
She married Frank Timmons on March 23, 1946 in Winnemucca, NV. She taught school in Notus, Idaho for 21 years. She taught second grade and was the grade school principal.
She retired in 1983 and with her husband, Frank, traveled extensively, eventually settling in Parker, Arizona. They lived in Arizona in the winters and at their cabin in Pollock, Idaho in the summers. Frank died in 1987 and she continued living in Arizona and Idaho, spending most of her time in Yuma.
She is survived by her four children, Leslie Jayo, Donna Quesnell (Bob), Jerry Timmons (Terri) and Roger Timmons (Debi); nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; her brothers, Blake and Fred; a sister, Marjorie; and son-in-law, Gene Jayo.
There will be no services by the wishes of the deceased.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel.
