Glenn was the son of Jonathan E. Peoples and Emma J Wishart. His birth records identify him as a twin. Glenn is identified on the 1910 US Census in Madison, Guernsey, OH living with his mother and two siblings; George and Otta. (Glenn and Otta both listed at age 20) Glenn married Florence Alena Cunningham on Nov 1, 1911 in Guernsey County, OH. He was living in Madison Twp, Guernsey, OH in 1915 when his son, Ralph, died, but was living in Valley, Guernsey, OH one year later. Glenn is identified on the 1930 US Census in Valley, Guernsey, OH living with his wife and three children; Ruth, Paul, and Doris. Glenn is identified on the 1940 US Census in Pleasant City, Guernsey, OH living with his wife Florence and three children; Paul, Doris and Glen. He was working for the Ohio Fuel Gas Company when he registered for the World War II draft. His second marriage was to Marie Perkins Kemp.

The following obituary was published in the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum on Sept. 20, 1977:

The Rev. William Glenn Peoples, 88 died at his home Monday afternoon following a long illness.

The son of the late J. E. Peoples and Emma Wishert, he was raised in Guernsey County and attended Muskingum College.

The husband of the late Florence Cunningham, Rev Peoples was remarried in 1951 to Marie Perkins Kemp who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Glenn Peoples, Chillicothe, and Paul K Peoples, Columbus, two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Wells, Woodfield, and Mrs. Leslie (Doris) Barton, North Ridgeville, three stepsons, Floyd Kemp and Lewis Kemp, both of Galion, and Ralph Kemp of Warsaw, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Merton (Viola) Hartle of Nellie, two grand children and seven great grandchildren.

He first taught school in Guernsey County and in Iberia for 14 years, and then wa a manager for the Ohio Fuel Gas Company for 27 years starting in 1918. At the same time he was a Methodist minister until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Galion.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Volk-Richardson Funeral Home at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Dale E. Hickerstand and the Rev. Paul K. Haymond officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today until services Wednesday.
