CHENAULT, Rev. Rogers Hamilton, 90, of Stafford County, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital. Rev. Chenault was a native of King and Queen County and a graduate of Wake Forest College and Southern Seminary. He pursued other graduate work at University of Richmond, Columbia Bible College and Southeastern Seminary. Rev. Chenault was the author of The People's New Testament. He served in several churches during his ministry. In his later years he owned and operated Allen and Brown Barber Shop in Fredericksburg. He was a member of Grace Memorial Church in Fredericksburg. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ada F. Chenault; and his daughters, Gwendolyn Chenault of Locust Grove and Geraldine Chenault of Radford. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Interment will be private at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Richmond.
