BRIGHAM CITY – Willard “Flip” Manning Flinders, 91, passed away of natural causes on October 20, 2004, in his retirement hometown of Brigham City, Utah. Willard was born in Logan, Utah, to Clarence and Effie Flinders on March 22, 1913. He married the love of his life Lois Jane Petersen on May 24, 1935 in Ogden, Utah.
Willard and Lois had three sons that survived them both, Willard Jay Flinders of Flagstaff, Arizona; Robert Bruce Flinders of Prescott, Arizona; and Charles Allen Flinders of Brigham City, Utah. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one half sister, Barbara Skidmore of Clearfield, Utah.
Willard worked for Barns Construction Company from 1942 to 1974. He was a Time Keeper/ Purchasing Agent, starting in Ogden, Utah, and relocating to Southern California in 1944. Willard retired in 1974, and moved back to his beloved Utah in 1976.
Willard worshiped his wife Lois, and loved his garden and home in Brigham City. He thoroughly enjoyed his many retirement years.
The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and Autumn Living, whose service and care could not be measured.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
