Arnel Henry Holyoak, age 83, died May 23, 1991, in Moab.
Born March 24, 1908 in Moab, to Henry John and Hattie Elizabeth Lutz Holyoak. He is a direct decendent of the original Hole In The Rock Expedition, his parents coming through in the first party. He married Myrtle Marie Anderson, August 20, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As a lifelong resident of Moab, he was always involved in the cattle and ranching business, and he served 30 years as a Utah State and Grand County Brand Inspector.Survived by his wife, Myrtle; three daughters, Mrs. Neal (Wynona) Dalton, Mrs. Ollie (Roberta) Knutson, Mrs. Jim (Cheryl) Nyland; brother, Ray E. Holyoak, all of Moab; sister, Mrs. Earl (Veda) Pehrson, Monticello; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was a joy and inspiration to all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., LDS Stake Center in Moab. Friends may call Monday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Hefner Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. Interment Grand Valley Cemetery in Moab.
