He was the husband of the late Ruth Moles Wyatt.
Born March 3, 1914, in Lynchburg, Va., he was a son of the late Samuel K. Wyatt Sr. and Verlie Harris Wyatt Poe.
Mr. Wyatt served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He had worked as a correctional officer with the Maryland State Police, as a deputy sheriff with Carroll County, and with the Pinkerton Detective Agency. He also had worked as a welder at Sparrows Point, and as a bus driver.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Loyal Order of Moose, Good Sam Camping Club, and a past master of Carroll Wagons. He was a retired member of Braggers Club and a past member of the Fraternal Order of Police of Haines City, Fla.
Surviving are eight children, Earl H. Wyatt Jr. and wife Paulette of Sykesville, Juanita Mills and husband Gibb of Franklin, Ind., Jack Lee Wyatt of Manassas, Va., Suzanne Scott and husband Samuel, Verla Froum and husband Alfred, and Nancy Taylor Moore and husband George, all of Cherry Tree, Samuel Wyatt of Gettysburg, Pa., and E. Keith Wyatt and wife Linda of Florida; 23 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; seven great-stepgrandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lucy Harrell of Louisa, Va., and Viola Hylton of Christiansburg, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by one brother, William Wyatt.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, and 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, until the time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield. The Rev. O.F. Kibbe, a Methodist minister, will officiate.
Interment will be in Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville.
