Mrs. John W. (Gwen) White died at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend Sunday at the age of 45 as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. White, the former Gwen Seward, was well known here. The White's made their home here for a number of years while Mr. White was in the trucking business. Later they were in business in the far western oil fields and then moved to Kimball, Neb., before returning to Kansas to make their home in Great Bend.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Cook and Weber Funeral chapel in Great Bend with the Rev. R. F. Richter officiating. Burial was in the Ellinwood cemetery.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, two daughters, Karen Kay of the home and Mrs. Max McColm of Ulysses and three sisters, Mrs. Clifford Scheufler of Ellinwood, Mrs. Ralph Burke of Lewis and Mrs. David Gimple of Boulder Colorado.
