Joann Aust Cothran, 74, died Sunday September 9, 2012 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Services are 3 P.M. Wednesday September 12 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with interment in Itta Bena Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Glass will officiate. Visitation is from 1-3 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Joann was born to Lonnie and Thelma Aust and had been a lifelong resident of Itta Bena, MS. She moved to Brandon after the death of her husband James W. Cothran 7 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Itta Bena.
Survivors include; two daughters, Diane Vaughn and her husband William of Brandon, MS, Robin Morgan and her husband Mark of Coldwater, MS, a sister, Betty Jean Woods and her husband Thomas of Yazoo City, MS, a brother, Lloyd Aust and his wife Sheila of Greenwood, MS, and two grandchildren, Kevin Hodges of Brandon, MS and Ann Austyn Morgan of Coldwater, MS.
Pallbearers are, Steve Burton, Tony Wood, Wayne Aldridge, Don Aldridge, Ray Burgett and Tim Spencer.
