Alfred F Loecher, found peace on 6 Sept 2012. He was born 25 June 1930 in Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa to Aloysius and Julia (Adams) Loecher. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Dorothy Ann Merten on 10 June 1953 in Stacyville, Iowa at the Visitation Catholic Church. Dorothy is the daughter of Phillip & Leonilla (Mullenbach) Merten of Adams, Mower, Minnesota.
They started their family in Stacyville, IA, then settled in Wisconsin. He worked at American Motors and then Roxnard, where he retired in 1993.
Al and Dorothy started the Young At Heart Organization at St Mary's Church in West Bend, WI. He was always very involved in Cub and Boy Scouts. He often did repairs for firends and neighbors. He was a member of Korean War Vets, American Legion Post #36, VFW Post 1393, and the Sno Birds Snowmobile Club.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; children, Doug, Vivian (Keith) Nienow, James and Kevin; grand children and great granchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret Mueller and Joan (Jerome) Heimer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Helen (Everett) Wagner; brother-in-law, Emil Mueller.
The Memorial Service held on 10 Sept 2012 at Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, West Bend, WI. Burial will be at a later date at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Milwaukee, WI.
