Alta P. Kilton
Alta went home to be with our Lord on August 22, 2012, after a long illnesws with diabetes. She was born on March 22, 1927, the daughter of Horace amd Minnie Preston. She spent her last hours at the Gosnell Home and Hospice in Scarborough, Maine. Her passing was pain free and peaceful. While alive, her greatest joys in life were her family. She was always there whenever anybody needed anything. She was generous to a fault. She loved her cat Willow, playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son Alan (Bozo) Kilton, wife Donna and their children, Tammy Kilton, Casey Kilton, and son Kevin Kilton. She is also survived by her daughter, Ellen (Kilton) Hatch, husband Keith and their children, Robert (Bobby) Hatch, and Renee (Hatch) Peterson; as well as her youngest son James (Jimmy) Kilton, wife Vicki and their children, Christy Alley, Adam Kilton and Seth Kilton; and many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Mina Preston and Gail St. Jock; two brothers, Glen Preston, Sr. and Vernon Preston, Sr. She was predeceased by her borthers, Horace Preston, Sr., Tyrone Preston, Sr., Bret Preston, Sr., Adian Preston and Leo Preston, Sr. She will be always remembered by her special friend Stanley Matall of Scarborough. Services will be at Great Cove Cemetery, Roque Bluffs, at 1 p.m. on September 9th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gosnell Home and Hospice House, 11 Hummewll Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074.
