Dale Richard Harmon died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Richland Care & Rehab in Olney.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Services will then be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Claremont.
Dale was born on May 16, 1923 in Calhoun, Illinois, the son of Richard Harmon and Nellie (Deck). He married Mary Pauline Anders on November 21, 1946 in Olney, IL. She preceded him in death on March 24, 1998.
Dale had worked in maintenance for GTE. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and a member of Free Methodist Church.
Dale is survived by his brothers, Robert Harmon and Estella "Martha" Morris of West Liberty, IL, Clifford Harmon of Olney, Charles Harmon of West Liberty and Paul Harmon of Olney; Sisters, Mary Coseboon of Olney and Crystal Harmon of Olney; Several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepmother, Ann Mae Harmon, daughter, Rosemary, and son, David.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
