Robert C. Peele, 60, of 311 Tickle Weed Road, Swansea, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Salem Baptist Church in North, with the Rev. Dan Stroman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 3 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Marc Peele, Kenny Peele, L.H. Peele, Bubba Sturkie, Timmy Sturkie and Don Brunson.
Mr. Peele was born in Lexington County, a son of the late Otis Peele and Lucille Harley Peele. He was employed by S.M.I. Owens Steel in Columbia and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Hallman Peele of Swansea; a daughter, Kay Martin of North; two sons, Robert A. Peele and James Peele, both of Swansea; a sister, Annette Berry of Swansea; two brothers, Horace Peele of Swansea and Harold Peele of North; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Culler McAlhany Funeral Home in North. Friends may call at the residence.
