VIRGINIA BEACH - Edward "Ed" Adams, 82, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009.
He had two careers that he loved. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and then spent 23 years on the Virginia Beach Police Department retiring in 1988 as a Lieutenant.
He will be missed by his much-loved pets Tiny, Bear, Brother, Sister and Snowflake; wife Marion, daughter Connie Bowers and husband Ron; sons Jason Adams and wife Diane and Scott Adams; daughter-in-law Amy Birdwell; stepdaughter Catherine Finn; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his good friends Mike Richards and Robert and Kathy Lankford.
Ed's favorite pastime was cooking for family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time at his place at Lake Gaston where he would get together with friends.
