Mrs. Connell was a Maben native and had lived in Jackson 55 years. She had also lived in Columbus. She was a volunteer for G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was a lifetime member of D.A.V. and Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Dennis Connell of Jackson; and brother, Gerald Franks of Greenville.
