Charlie H. Etheridge, 76, died at the Rest Haven home, 820 Pershing avenue, at 6:40 p.m. Friday.
He was the son of John R. and Dora Etheridge and was born in Davis county, Iowa, June 10, 1869. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Minda L. Etheridge, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Elsie I. Musgrove, Douds; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A half brother, George Etheridge of Rhoneville, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Rella Critchfield, San Francisco, Calif.; and two half sisters, Jennie Etheridge and Maria Sullivan, both of Mesa, Ariz., also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy M. Etheridge, in 1923.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Edward Murray, pastor of the Church of the Brethren. Burial will be made in Ottumwa cemetery.
