The following obituary was read at the service by Mr. Ellison:

"Dionyslus Wright was born near Warsaw, Kosclusko county, Indiana, October 2, 1841. He worked on the farm with his father and attended the country school during his early youth.

He was united in marriage with Mary Ellen Hyer, July 14, 1865 in the courthouse in Washington C. H. Ohio. Immediately after the marriage ceremony was said he went with his wife by rail to his father's home at Mt. Ayr, Indiana where they fitted up a team of horses and a wagon and moved over land to Mason County, Illinois, near Havana where they bout 40 acres of land which they farmed for two years. They then returned to Ohio at the death of Mrs. Wright's stepmother. Here they purchased a farm containing 60 acres which they cultivated for a period of two years.

In 1869 they returned to Illinois, Mr. Wright making the trip overland with his team and wagon but Mrs. Wright and their little son, Aaron, came by train.

They purchased a farm two miles west of Homer where they lived until 1908 when they moved to Homer to take up their residence.

Mr. Wright was one of the early pioneers of what in his earlier days was known as the western country, thus he was one of the many who knew very well what hardships were as he passed thru many of them during his earlier past of his married life.
Mr. Wright was industrious and economical in his living thus with the aid of his splendid companion he was successful in his chosen pursuit in life. For about 58 years he and his companion walked he pathway of life together, she having preceded him in death March 24, 1923.

The lives and the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wright were gladdened with the presence of 5 children, 3 sons and two daughters, Herbert, Fred and Effie preceding the father in death.

He united with the Methodist Episcopal church November 3, 1916 where his membership remained until in the providence of God he was transferred to the membership of the church triumphant, which was effected Sunday January 29, 1928 at 1:15 p.m. Thus the earthly life which was lengthened out over a period of 86 years, three months and 27 days came to a peaceful and quiet end.

He is survived by one son and one daughter, Aaron H. of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Carrie B. Robinson of San Jose, California; also two brothers, Jasper of Mt. Ayr, Indiana and Randolph of Renssalaer, Indiana, with 8 nieces, two nephews, six grandchildren and one great grandchild, with many friends who have walked and talked with him along the way and have said farewell for a little while.

Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were the two brothers, Jasper of Mt. Ayr, Ind., and Randolph, of Rensselaer, Ind.; two nephews, Buy Baldwin of Rensselaer and Joe Kosta of Fair Oaks, Ind.; two nieces Mrs. David Thompson of Springfield, Illinois and Mrs. George Pouirchot, of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. F. N. Wright, Normal, Ill.; Miss Gladys Wright, Normal, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ward Cannon, Buckley, Ill.; Squire Lee and family, Lebanon, Ind.; Mrs. Sadie Lee and son, Albert, Pesotum, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Plotner, Philo, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
