P.F.C. Alvin Otto Caldwell, Returned War
Fatality, died in Saipan in battle in 1944.
His body was returned for burial in 1949 to
Twin Falls, Idaho and was buried in Sunset
Memorial Park January of 1949.

He joined the 2nd Marine Division. He was
awarded several Citations and Medals.
The Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation,
Ribbon Bar, Star For The Tarawa Operation,
Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal and World War II
Victory Medals.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto E.
Caldwell, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. L.T.
Moore and Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Caldwell,
brother Blaine O. Caldwell.
