WEST DEERFIELD MAN DEAD
Edwin A Lanfair, 84, a respected farmer of West Deerfield, died at his home yesterday after an illness of several months. He was a man of strong constitution, and had been a hard worker. Last spring he suffered from an attack of the grip, and never recovered from its effects. He had always lived in West Deerfield and vicinity, and was well known in Greenfield and other surrounding towns. He was the last of three brothers, David of Conway and Elmer of Shelburne having died some years since. Mr Lanfair leaves a widow and two sons, Frederick E who lives at home and C. W. Lanfair, manager of the Greenfield office of the Postal telegraph company. The funeral will be held to-morow at 1 p.m. [published Sunday, November 10, 1895, Springfield Republican, pg 2]
