Rankin Willis Strider, 77, of Carthage, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Leach Road Holiness Church, with the Rev. Robert McLeod officiating. Burial will be held in Brown's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Robbins.
Mr. Strider was a native of Randolph County and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine Wilkes Strider.
Mr. Strider is survived by two daughters, Patricia Strider, of the home, and Judy Strider, of Florida; a son, Freddie Strider, of Pinebluff; a brother, Deldon Strider, of Troy; two sisters, Carrie Cox, of Troy, and Mary Brewer, of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
