He was the son of Edward N and Marie (Olson) Stanwick. He married Violet George on June 6, 1935. She died June 24, 1972. He married Virginia George Halverson on September 19, 1975. In addition to his wife Virginia, he is survived by his children: Craig Stanwick of Nevis, MN, Jon Stanwick of Kannapolis, NC, Martin Stanwick of Brookings, SD, David Halverson of Fridley, MN, George Halverson of Hayfield, MN and Barbara Bieber of Hayfield; 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one sister, Gladys Wieskus of Jackson, MN.. He was preceded in death by his first wife, son Arthur, parents and two sisters.
