Deceased was born in Montgomery county, New York and followed the merchant tailoring business during his business career, with the exception of three years, which he served in the army as a member of the 127th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. his wife Mrs. Caroline Nellis survives him. The funeral took place Monday afternoon and interment made in Linwood Cemetery
