Ernest Charles Lewis, 99, of Draht Hill Road, Elmira, NY, died Friday, Dec. 25, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY. Born on Lewis Road, Pine City, NY, March 12, 1888, he was the son of Henry and Isabell Shephard Lewis. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. Surviving are a daughter, Norma Cady of Elmira, NY.; a son, Charles Lewis of Millerton; grandchildren, Kenneth Andrus of Draht Hill Road, Elmira, NY, Barbara Mitchley of Conn., Mary Paterson of Horseheads, NY and John and Rick Andrus. Funeral and committal services were held at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Sunday, Dec. 27. The Rev. Horace Stoddard officiated. Interment was made in Lewis Cemetery.
