Mrs. Cecelia Guild, who was 96 years of age, died at 7 a. m. Tuesday at the Pleasant View Nursing Home, Indianapolis, where she had been living for the last several months. She was the mother of Mrs. W. B. Warriner of Mulberry, with whom she had made her home for 6 1/2 years.
Mrs. Guild was born near Medaryville on January 12, 1858, a daughter of John and Mary Querry. On March 26, 1876, she was united in marriage with James R. Guild, who died in 1929. She spent most of her life in and near Medaryville. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include seven children: Mrs. W. B. Warriner of Mulberry, Mrs. Ralph Horner of Winamac, Mrs. C. K. Little of East Chicago, Miss Florence Guild of Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Albert Reep of Indianapolis, Merrill Guild of Fairland and Bernard Guild of Elk Rapids, Wis.; also, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-graandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A son, George, died in 1931 and a daughter, Grace, died in 1891.
Last rites will be held at the Medaryville Methodist church at 2 p. m. Friday and burial will be in the famiy lot at the Independence church cemetery.
