Mr. Bach had been a resident of Kingston for the last forty-one years, coming there from Plymouth in 1875.

He was born in Rhoden, Germany, on April 1, 1850, where he received his education and at an early age learned the tailoring business. He lived at Frankfurt on the Rhine for some time and in 1871 he immigrated to this country, settling in this city for a time and later moving to Plymouth.

Mr. Bach was the promoter and the first president of the West Side Light Co., which was located near the D., L. & W. Railroad on Pringle Street.
