Bio taken from the records of Caroline Alwine Swanson Bosworth Bunn, great granddaughter of Traugott and Christeanna Frenzel whose notes were last updated in Dec of 1977 and compiled from the living Beccard descendants she corresponded with.
Born: August Fredrick Beccard in Schlochau, West Prussia on February 6, 1845, in what is today, Człuchów Poland. His father was a cabinet maker by trade. He went by August or F. August and was educated under the compulsory requirements until the age of 14. His trade was that of butcher. He had fulfilled his compulsory military service in Prussia, prior to his immigration to the USA. He came to Nebraska City, NE several years before 1872.
He owned and operated his own meat market shop in Nebraska City.
He married Augusta Marie FRENZEL, daughter of Traugott and Christeanna (DONNATT) FRENZEL, in Sept of 1874, in Nebraska City. He was 29 years old, and Augusta was 19 years old. They had met each other in Nebraska City.
The married couple lived in Nebraska City, from 1874-1877, where August had his shop. Their church was the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nebraska City. In 1877 they moved to a farm south of Nebraska City in springtime and engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.
August died on July 17, 1879, in Nebraska City at the age of 34 years.
