John "Chuck" Adams, 66 of Gridley, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1946 in Gridley CA, to John and Carmelita Adams.

Chuck was a life long resident of Gridley, having farmed all his life; he was an avid hunter, fisherman and horseman. He was very devoted to his family, he currently served as President of Board of Directors of Red Top Rice Growers and President of Biggs West Gridley water district, and he was past President of Farmers Rice Co-op and formerly served on many other boards.

He served in the US Army First Air Calvary during VietNam and was highly decorated. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Adams and one brother, William James Adams. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathryn Adams of Gridley; three daughters, Amie Adams (Justin) Mills of Gridley, Amber Adams (Robert) Ponciano of Gridley, and April Adams (Bryan) Young of Gridley; his mother, Carmelita Adams of Gridley, five grandchildren, Haylee, Brian, Amanda Margaret, Zane Charles, Cash Joseph; two sisters, Jane (Lee) Ramage of Eagle Pt. Oregon, Joan (Ernest) Casillas of Gridley; mother-in-law, Margaret Kuil of Gridley; brother-in-law, Stan (Kathleen) Kuil of WI; sister-in-law, Karen (Paul) Clark of Alberta Canada; nieces and nephews, Eric, Marty, Tricia Cullen, Paul and Tim Casillas, John and Lisha Adams, Kim and Curt Kuil, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
