Margaret Hill Henderson passed peacefully into the arms of God Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with interment in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Hopkins County to Jeff Davis Williamson and Fannie Frankie Wilson, who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Malva Morris, Marcia Williamson, Vernell Melton and brothers, Percy Williamson, W.C. Williamson and Oran Williamson.

She married E.S. "Speck" Hill Feb. 25, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1966, leaving her with five young children to raise. That led her to begin her career as a childcare provider. Over the years, Margaret provided care for hundreds of children in the San Angelo area until her retirement in July 1989. In 1978 she married Thomas Henderson, who preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include her children and their families, Jane and Tom Duke of Little Rock, Ark., and children, Jonathan Jameson and wife, Samantha, and son, Caleb, of Texarkana, Texas; and Jarod Jameson, also of Texarkana; Rodger and Connie Hill of Ovilla and son, Garren Hill and his wife, Amy, and great-grandchildren, Brendan, Cameron, Ashley and Emily; Paul and Leora Hill and their daughters, Kelley, Kyla and Karissa of Arlington; Steven Hill and wife, Doris, and their daughters, Wendy and Tracey, of Flower Mound; and Alan and Lisa Hill and their daughters, Amanda and Alana, of San Angelo.

Also surviving are her two sisters, Era Bryant of Lubbock and Fanny Lou Melton of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Kenneth Williamson of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Charlotte Caffey.

Margaret was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and her family requests memorials to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Garren Hill, Jonathan and Jarod Jameson and family friends, Michael Godwin, John Sparks and Darrell Eastman.
