Jennie Hadlock Brown, beloved and honored mother, wife, grandmother, and sister departed this life for a higher calling on Feb. 23, 1997 at home in Salt Lake City.

She was born April 18, 1931, to Ferry LeRoy and Jennie Steele Hadlock in Salt Lake City. Jennie attended East High, U of U, and BYU, graduating in dance and Elementary Education; also a varsity cheerleader at U of U.

She married Robert Lynn Brown in the Salt Lake Temple, June 5, 1953.

Gifted in dance, she studied with Jean Renee, Virginia Tanner, and William Christensen, who later founded Ballet West. She danced in the original 1947 PROMISED VALLEY production and created choreography for the 1957 Tuscon Stake production of the same. She served as Dance Director, Edgehill Ward, while yet in high school; later for Southern Arizona and Tucson Stakes. She choreographed more than 10 full-scale Broadway Musical productions in U.S. and overseas high schools; operated private dancing shools in Provo, Utah; San Manuel, Arizona; Fairfax, Virginia; as well as Baghdad, Iraq; Bogota, Colombia; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Brasilia, Brazil. She served in numerous church callings wherever she lived.

She is survived by her husband; children, Robert LeRoy, Bountiful; Paul Christian, Hurricane; Cheryl, Mesa, Ariz.; Earl Roland, Lewiston, Idaho; Aaron Lynn, Orem; and Jared Jamal, Woodbridge, Virginia. Also surviving are siblings, Ferry C. Hadlock, Hattie Lee, Milo S. Hadlock, La Rue Woodbury, Esther Adams, Anthony H. Hadlock, and 23 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Virginia, who died in infancy.

Jennie lived life and lived it to the fullest. Her most precious possession is her family. She loves each one with all her heart. She will be sorely missed, but her memory will bright joy and happiness to all those she leaves behind.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 12 noon at the Wasatch Ward, 1455 E. Emerson Ave., where friensd and family may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Memorial Esates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd.
