Beda Marie Fresh, 82, of Rockwood, died peacefully at her home on October 18, 2014. Born January 5, 1932 in Fayette County, she is a daughter of Roy and Susannah Catherine “Kate” (Geary) Henry. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Clyde Wilson Fresh on March 9, 2001; son Roger Lee Fresh; daughter Michelle Renee (Fresh) Wheatley; daughter-in-law Wanda (Cooley) Fresh; granddaughter Cathy Marie Prinkey; brothers Wilbert, John, Roy, and Tommy Henry; and sisters Rebecca Peck, Ruby Miller, Blanche Oakes, and Leona Henry. Beda is survived by her children Delmas Franklin Fresh and companion April Palmer of Smithfield, Debi Faye Prinkey and husband John of Melcroft, Brenda Lynn Meyers and husband Ron of Somerset, and Carol Jean Johnson; 15 wonderful grandchildren and their spouses; 16 wonderful great-grandchildren; sisters Nettie Wilson of Holsopple and Emily Ritenour of Normalville; sisters-in-law Kathryn Henry of Normalville and Maxine Henry of Rockwood; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Beda was a wonderful mother, and a devoted Christian woman and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ for over 40 years, and was loved by all. She loved helping others and worked as a caregiver for several years. She enjoyed reading her worn and tattered Bible every day, praying, Christian Music, playing the piano and guitar in her earlier years, picking blueberries, and, in her later years, putting jigsaw puzzles together. She was an excellent cook, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and visiting with friends. The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers Connie Saylor, Heather Shank, and Oma Butler for taking such wonderful care of her over the last few years. Beda will be greatly missed, but she has gone home to be with her Lord. Friends will be received from 2-8 PM Monday at MILLER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, SOMERSET, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, pastor Ralph Miller officiating. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
