Arthur E. McCall, 62, of Sioux City, died at home following a sudden illness Thursday. He was a former Iowa City resident.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the George L. Gay Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Anderson will officiate. Burial will be at Memory Gardens cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home starting Sunday.
Mr. McCall was born Oct. 6, 1910, in Eldora. He was married to Mearl M. Spivey on June 19, 1954 in Iowa City, where he lived until 13 years ago when he moved to Sioux City. He was employed by the Sioux City Community School District and was a member of Union Local No. 773 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Elsa and Denise, both at home; two brothers, Weldon G. of Iowa City, and William J. of Mesa, Ariz.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Aronson of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Margaret McGill of Oildale, Calif.
