Nona Ruth Clifton Arneson

HYSHAM, MT.----- On March 4, 1999, Jesus saw our loving wife, mother, and grandmother's work was done and rewarded her wings to go with her halo.

She selflessly devoted her faith in the Lord, family and helping others.

Nona was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Scarbo, W, V., the daughter of Danile "Guy" and Lola Wriston Clifton, the eldest of nine children.

She moved to Ingomar, MT when she was nine years old.

Nona attended schools in Ingomar until Kenneth "swept her off her feet".

On June 25, 1949, Nona married Kenneth Arneson in the American Lutheran Church in Billings.
This June would have marked their 50th Anniversary.

Kenneth and Nona farmed for40 years in Pease Bottom before retiring to Hysham in 1990.

Nona enjoyed birds, flowers, gardening, fishing, and watching videos.
She especially enjoyed trips to West Virginia to visit with relatives,

She taught Sunday School for over 20 years and held offices of Secretary and Sunday School Superintendent.

She also belonged to the Friendly Garden Club. and the canasta club.
She was the secretary /treasurer of the Ranchers Cemtery.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth, her children, Carl (Gene) Gamble, Gary (Sandy) Arneson, Gordon (Elaine) Arneson, Naomi (Kenneth) Rolandson all of Hysham, MT.,
Lisa (Darin) Linger of Laurel, MT., Alana (Kory) Kober of Columbus, MT., 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nona was preceded in death by her parents and sister Virginia.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday March 9, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hysham.

Interment to follow in the Ranchers Cemetery, Myers, MT.

Visitation will be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Beals Mortuary Chapel in Forsyth, MT.

Family visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with public visitation following until the service.

Memorials may be made to the Stain Glass Fund at the trinity Lutheran Church Hysham or the Ranchers Cemetery in care of Keith Kimball.

Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is in charge of the arrangements.
