HYSHAM, MT. ---- Carl C. Almond had worked on local ranches and for D.M/ Manning Construction before forming his own excavating service in 1945.

He was a member of Hyshm Community Presbyterian Church, Eagles Lodge of Billings and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and ranching.

Mr. Almond 85, died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital in Billings of natural causes

He was born in Miller, S.D. a son of Melvin and Susie Anderson Almond.

He came to Treasure County in 1915.

He attended schools in the Hysham area.

On Nov. 15, 1941, he married Rebecca Grierson in Billings.
They made their home in Hysham.

Survivors include his wife; a son James R., two brothers Rayburn of Red Oak, Iowa, and Arnold of Salem, OR., three sisters, Gladys Workman of Billings, MT., and Isabelle Swanson and Lula Criswell both of Salem, OR., four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hysham Community Presbyterian Church.

Burial in the Rancher Cemetery, Myers, MT.
