Fred J. Alderman

MYERS, MT. --- Fred J. Alderman. who operated the Myers Mercantile Store and Post Office with his wife, also worked for Treasure County road crew until he retired in 1975.
He died at age 68 Thursday afternoon in Hysham of a heart attack.

Mr. Alderman was a past master of Hysham Lodge No. 129, AF & AM;
past commander of Royal Arch Masons, and high priest of Knights Templar.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the son of Alfred and Jane Alderman, he served in the Canadian Merchant Marines during World War II.
On March 3, 1946, he married Hazel M. Hussey in Victoria, British Columbia.
They lived in Billings and in Spokane, WA., before settling in Myers in 1952.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diana Petherick of Vancouver, B.C. and Marie Wigborg of Seattle, WA.; a sister. Vi Bayliss of Vancouver, B.C.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Community Presbyterian Church in Hysham.

Burial will be in Rancher Cemetery in Myers, MT.
