Our beloved Julie passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2012, at her home in New Bern, North Carolina. Julie was born to George L. (Roy) Baker and Martha Trujillo Baker. She grew up in Tooele, Utah, where she graduated from Tooele high school in 1978. She began riding horses and competing in various Rodeo's and Barrel racing as well as Show horse Competition's, including Western Pleasures Competitions at age 13. She Married David Garcia (later divorced) and had one son, Eric. She started her career at age 25 in civil service at Tooele Army Depot. She has worked 27 years in Civil service, where the last 6 years she worked at Cherry Point in New Bern, North Carolina, where she was known as quite a prankster, she will be greatly missed by all of her co-workers. Julie was an active member of the Catholic Church.

She was survived by her Father, Mother, Son and two Granddaughters.

Services will be held Saturday September 8, 2012 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Dr., where family and friends can call at 1:00 PM to pay respects with the funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM.
