Johnie Malouf was born March 1, 1922, to John Malouf and Julia Malouf. He was called to the Lord on September 5, 2012, at his home in Wills Point, at the age of 90. Johnie grew up in Rotan, Texas and after graduation was called to duty in the U.S. Army, where he faithfully served his country in WW II during the Battle of the Bulge. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and was a member of the Cowboy Band. Johnie married Johnnie Buccola in 1952 and they were blessed with three children, Pat Malouf, Tom Malouf and Mike Malouf. Johnie and Johnnie B. moved to Wills Point and successfully ran Malouf Manufacturing Co. for forty years. Johnie served as past president of the Wills Point School Board and past president and founding member of the Van Zandt Country Club. He was very faithful to his community and to the Lord throughout his life. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where he put the Lord first in his life. He enjoyed church, spending time with his grandkids and playing dominoes and golf with his friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; a beloved son, John Patrick Malouf; three brothers and a sister.

Johnie is survived by a wonderful wife of sixty years, Johnnie B. Malouf; two sons, Tom Malouf & wife, Mona, of Wills Point and Mike Malouf & wife, Cindy, of Canton; four grandchildren, Craig Malouf & wife, Jaime, of Wills Point, Bryan Malouf & wife, Mallory, of Wills Point, Stephen Malouf and Patrick Malouf, both of Canton and two great-grandsons, Johnie Cole Malouf and Cooper Terry Malouf, both of Wills Point.

Pallbearers: Doyle Ethridge, Ronnie Hunt, Bill Stewart, Paul Martin, Mark Murrey and Mark Strickland.

Funeral mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church, 702 North Frances St. , Terrell at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012, with a reception following at the Parish Hall. A private burial for family will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas . Visitation will be held at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Friday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
