Mrs. Reynolds was an outstanding Christian character. Misfortune in life seemed to have sweetened her disposition and she was loved sincerely by all who knew her.
Francis M. Beavin was born in Cloverport, Kentucky in 1891. She moved to Oklahoma in 1891 with her parents and lived in the Crawford community. She married J.A. Reynolds in 1914, who preceded her in death two years ago. Two children were born to this union, Alfred and Margaret.
She died at a Sayre hospital September 26, 1942.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Cheyenne, conducted by Rev. A. Gearhart, of Elk City. An Elk City choir furnished music, and the burial was held in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Oklahoma. The pall bearers were four brothers; Hagan, Paul, Lewis and Roy Beavin; two brothers-in-law, Will Murphy and Roy Bumpus.
Survivors are her two children, Alfred and Margaret; mother, Mrs. F.A. Beavin of Cheyenne, Okla., sisters, Mrs. Will Murphy, Crawford, Mrs. Leroy Bumpus, Ardmore, Mrs. Dan Eckroat, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Charles Kelley, Chreveport, La.; brothers Hagan Beavin, of Crawford, Carl and Paul Beavin, Cheyenne, Roy Beavin of Oklahoma City, Lewis Beavin, Norman.
Attending the service from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly and children of Shreveport, La., Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bumpus and children, Ardmore; Lewis R. beavin, Naval Base at Norman; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Eckroat and children, Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beavin and children, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Reynolds and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bumpus, Jr., Mabel Jean Bumpus, Mrs. Glen Blair, Mrs. Edgar Keel, all of Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Keahey of Borger, Texas; Mrs. Henry Baker, Durham; Miss Clara Quigley, Elk City.
Burial services were under the direction of the Tunnard Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
