MISS BERTHA S. GOOD, 100, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 7574 Anthony. Highway, Waynesboro, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1996 in the nursing home. She had been in failing health for the past several years.

Born June 29, 1896, in Good Siding near Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. Good who died Nov 19, 1913, and Susan E. (Small) Good who died Aug. 17, 1917. She had lived most of her life in the Quincy area. She entered the nursing
home in June 1994.

Miss Good attended Polk Hill School near Waynesboro and then attended Waynesboro Business School.

She was a traffic clerk at Frick Co. for 40 years.

Miss Good was a member of Falling Springs Congregation of Old German Baptist Church, Chambersburg.

She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary E. Good Miller on April 12, 1965, Annie M. Good on Dec. 6, 1965, Ida W. Good on June 30, 1953, Cora A. Good on Nov. 30, 1971, and Clara M. Good on Feb. 13, 1898: three brothers, Newton S. Good on Sept. 2, 1928, Henry W. Good on Feb. 13, 1969, and Samuel C. Good on June 11, 1911.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Elder Donald L. Hess officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Mont Alto.
