Eunice J. Rohl, of 4407 County Highway CR, Manitowoc, died on Monday afternoon, June 25, 2007, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Eunice's wish was to have cremation take place with private family graveside services held at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove. The Rev. Monsignor Jim Vanden Hogen will officiate.
Eunice was born on Feb. 5, 1943, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Clifford and Marion (Rolland) Mancoske. She was a 1960 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. She graduated from Manitowoc Teachers College and Silver Lake College, and attended Lakeland College to work on her masters degree. She married Alois J. "Al" Rohl Sr. in Cody, Wyo., on June 5, 1963. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1998. Most of her career was spent teaching at Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School in Manitowoc. She also taught in Kewaunee, New Holstein,
Reedsville and Brillion. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Daughters of Isabella. Eunice always enjoyed a good cup of coffee with her friends.
She is survived by one son: Richard Rohl, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cynthia (Patrick) Knox, Manitowoc; Cheri (Mike) Streich, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Travis Rohl; David, Rachel and Christina Knox; Spencer Streich; sisters and brothers: Ruth (Roger) Olson, Lake Elsinore, Calif.; Diane (Robert) Meyers, Great Falls, Mont.; Dr. Ronald Mancoske, New Orleans, La.; Bonnie Mancoske, Bakersfield, Calif.; Randy (Julie) Mancoske, Maribel; Barbara (Michael) Kramer, Green Bay; Attorney Debra Mancoske, Green Bay; one sister-in-law: Mary Mancoske, Denmark; her special friend: Allen Mahloch, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends also survive. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alois; and one brother: Richard Mancoske.
The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the Rohl family. Eunice's family would like to thank the staff of the Holy Family Cancer Care Center,
Dr. (private), the staff of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, and all of her special friends who visited her. The care shown to Mom during her illness
will never be forgotten.
