Philander P. Farrington, who has
been in poor health for a long time
died at his home last Sunday afternoon.
The funeral was held at the house
Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock under
the auspices of Wallace T. Rines Post,
and the interment was at Oak Knoll.
Philander P. Farrington was born at
Anover, Oxford county, Maine, February
4th. 1828. He married Malinda Orton
Feb. 10th, 1865. Six children were
born to them, four of whom are
now living, two sons and two daughters.
Jennie M. the unmarried daughter
has been an invalid for the past two
years, and for the past year has been
unable to walk.
Mr. Farrington was a member of Company C, First regiment Minnesota mounted rangers, and has been a resident of Mille Lacs county for the past forty-seven years.
