Salmon's will, which he executed on 1 July 1856 when a resident of "Coleraine, Mass.", is available on ancestry.com Case Number 6267 Probate Records, Vol 41-43, 1855-1858. He named his son-in-law Ebenezer M. Whitney as executor. He left his wife Statina all of his real estate, the farm on which he lived, all his farming tools and all the stock on said farm, also all furniture, bed and bedding, linen and clothing, for her sole use forever. He also left his wife all the provisions and all the crops "now growing on said farm," and two hundred dollars ($200) for her sole use. To his son Abner O. Hunt one dollar ($1) "and my good will." To his daughters Eliza Winslow, Cynthia Eaton, and Mary Stocking one dollar ($1) each "and my good will." Daughter Susan H. Hunt was to receive one hundred dollars ($100) and daughter Sarah J. Whitney, wife of Ebenezer M. Whitney, was to receive all the remainder of his property not disposed of in this will to be equally divided by them, daughters Susan H. Hunt and Sarah J. Whitney to their use forever.
