Bethel Brook Burns Hall, 88, joined her family in heaven Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, following a short illness.

Born March 26, 1915, at Smoot, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Russell and Amanda Fleshman Burns.

Mrs. Hall was the co-owner of the B&B Body Shop and bookkeeper for 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Alderson and the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Hershell G. Coleman, the father of her three children; Robert S. Worrell, husband of 26 years, and George B. Hall, husband and best friend, in the evening of their lives; a son, James Clifford Lee Coleman; a brother, Don Elmer Burns; and a sister, Pauline Byrl Burns.

Survivors include two daughters, Dotty Cutlip and husband, Ray, of Asbury and Janet Robinson and husband, Forrest, of Fairlea; a sister, Burnice Walkup of Kendalville, Ind.; a special granddaughter, Bonnie Cline, who was her best friend and husband, Jeff, with whom she made her home, and eight other grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Chapel Cemetery in Clintonville with Pastor Charles C. Taylor officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smathers Funeral Chapel.
