Gladys M. Mahoney, 92, of Summerfield, FL, died at 12 PM Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, in Ocala, FL. She had been in the hospital for two weeks and a nursing home for a week. Born April 7, 1906, in Montgomery County, she had lived in Lafayette since 1930 and moved to Florida three years ago. She married W. Paul Mahoney on August 10, 1935, in Bloomington, IN; he died Feb. 1, 1979.
Mrs. Mahoney graduated from Waynetown High School and attended Lafayette Business College. She had been a bookkeeper for the Adams Agency. She was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a brother, Clyde C. Jones of Lafayette; also three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
