Phyllis W. Stanley, 88, of Effingham, IL, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, with the Rev. Lawrence Beebe officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham, IL.

Phyllis was born on May 12, 1924 in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Elsie (Rees) Wyckoff. She married Levitt Arnold in 1967. He died in 1970. She married Dale Stanley on August 18, 2001, and he survives.
Phyllis was president of Effingham Finance Co. Inc. with offices in Shelbyville, Vandalia, Greenup, and Effingham.
Her hobbies were traveling and reading. She was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Effingham; University of Illinois Alumni Association; Indiana Historical Association; The Wyckoff House & Association; The National Sorority of Colonial Daughters of the 17th Century; and the White Shrine.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Dale Stanley of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister.
