FOR MRS. J. KIBLER

Galena Resident 35 Years Dies in Freeman Hospital Following Stroke of Paralysis.


Galena, Kan., Jan. 1 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Kibler, 65 years old, who died at 6:30 o'clock this morning in Freeman hospital at Joplin, where she had been a patient since Thursday night, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday at the Methodist church. The Rev. John S. Jones, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of the Boice Undertaking Company. The body will be taken to the home, 511 Rast Fifth Street, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, where it will remain until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Kibler suffered a stroke of paralysis about 11 o'clock Thursday night at her home, She had not been in ill health but collapsed suddenly while preparing a lunch for her husband to take to work.

A resident of Galena 35 years, Mrs. Kibler was a member of the Methodist church and was an active worker in the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She also was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and was a past Noble Grand (Presiding Officer) of the order.

Surviving are her husband, June Kibler, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Helen M. (Claud) Rogers of Cardin, Okla.; a son, Chester (Gladys) Kibler of Galena; six sisters, Mrs. Theresa Chickering, Miss Freda Marie Beller of Joplin, Mrs. Anna Palmer of Joplin, Mrs. Alfred Stinel of Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. Lou White of Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Etta Margaret Turner of Santa Maria, Calif.; three brothers, Rodney Beller of Battle Creek, Mich., Roscoe Beller of Miami, Fla., and Alfred C. Beller, serving in the U.S. Navy; and four grand-children.

Elizabeth was the daughter of William & Margaret Colly Beller.

She was preceded in death by an infant son [7/4/1901 to 7/10/1901].
