Peter Wolfe was born, August 12, 1850, in Clayton county, and passed away at the home of his son, in Lamont, February 21, 1926. In 1875 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Parrott, of Worthington. Eleven children were born to this union, four preceding him in death. Most of his life he was engaged in farming, near Cascade, living in Lamont, since 1919. The last three years he was helpless, but was lovingly cared for by his wife.

Besides his loving wife he leaves seven children, C.J. Wolfe, of Manchester; H. L. Wolfe, Lamont; Mrs. F. J. Besst, Dundee; Mrs. G. M. Lewis of Manchester; Mrs. C. L. Williams, of Oelwein; Mrs. L. H. Duart, of Delhi and Mrs. O. E. Fuller, of Lamont; also three half brothers Walter Bright, of Anoka, Neb; George Bright, of Cascade; Ezekial Bright, and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Gearhart, of Cascade; Hannah Gearheart, of Manchester, and Mrs. Hattie Holmes, of Hines, Minn.
