East Prairie - Clarence A. Baker of East Prairie died today at his home after an extended illness. He was 83 years old.
He was born July 15, 1892 in East Prairie and was a lifelong resident here. On Feb. 21, 1921 he married the former Miss Lena Marten. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving is his wife; daughters, Miss Marie Baker and Miss Marjorie L. Baker; son, C.L. Baker; brothers, Howard H, Donald F. and Harold Baker. He was preceded in death by one son, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at Shelby Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery.
