Obituary:
Mrs. Pearl Campmire, also known as "Cammie" by relatives and friends, died around 8 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 1982. Pearl was the daughter of Walter and Bessie Caywood of Council Grove, Kansas. She was born November 18, 1901 in Benton County, Missouri.

Pearl was married to Fred Clyde Campmire in 1919 in Council Grove, Kansas. She gave birth to a daughter, Oberta, in 1920. They moved from Council Grove to Bushton, Kansas where they operated a grocery store and a fabric mart for many years. In 1959 they moved to Perryton and opened the first "Fabric Mart" which they owned and operated until April, 1968.

Pearl has been a resident of Perryton Senior Village for the past four years.

Pearl's husband died on November 3, 1961. Survivors are her daughter, Oberta Idell Winkler, wife of Frank Winkler, of Perryton; two granddaughters, Kimberly Kay Macias and Paige Ann Kameron Kayle (yes, the paper has it that both Kameron and Shannon have the same middle name) Slaton, Jarrett Winkler Slaton, all of Perryton.

Other survivors, out of nine sisters and brothers, are three brothers, Ralph Caywood of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Earnest Caywood of Council Grove, Kansas; Howard Caywood of California; also three sisters, Ruby Worswick of Bushton, Kansas; Marie Daily of Wichita, Kansas; Ethel Seece of Osowatomie, Kansas.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 19th at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Perryton. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 1982 with graveside service and interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Council Grove, Kansas.
