Mrs. Angela Lynn "Angie" Laney, age 41 of Carrollton, died June 11, 2012 in Fort Morgan, Alabama.
Mrs. Laney was born in Carroll County on March 30, 1971 to James Hendrix and Carol Coalson Hendrix Cole.
She graduated from Bowdon High School and has been manager of Robinson Salvage for 17 years.
Angie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Tallapoosa, Georgia and was passionate with the church ministry working with the youth of the church. She was attending the Georgia School of Ministry. Angie volunteered with Rescue Atlanta.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Laney, sons, Christopher Lee Laney of Carrollton, and Cody Hall and his wife Lucy of Nashville, Tennessee, mother and step-father, Carol and John Cole of Bowdon, sisters, Lisa and Scott Robinson of Ranburne, Beth and Bobby Gaines of Bowdon, brother, Matt and Shenna Cole of Bremen. She was preceded in death by her father James Hendrix.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:30 am at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Benefield, and Robbie Robinson officiating. Music will be furnished by Cindy Benefield, Melanie Johnson, Burl Meeks, and Jeff Hammack.
Pallbearers include, Jordan Weathers, Robbie Robinson, Scott Robison, Matt Underwood, Jamie Burns and Chris Townley.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Caldwell, Josh Rippey, Eric King, Daniel Benefield and Tommy Branson.
Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Brooks officiating.
