Mr. Bechtold, an auctioneer, was the owner of Bechtold Auctioneers retiring in 2003. Prior to that, he worked as a realtor; and earlier for Etemco. A member of Grace Community Church, Willow Street, he enjoyed: the Phillies; NASCAR; Sprint car racing; being with family and high school friends; and riding motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two children, Stephanie wife of Michael Johnson, Heather wife of Wendell Metzler; three grandchildren, Owen Ranck, Brady & Kylie Metzler, all of Lancaster; a brother, Keith married to Joyce Bechtold, Willow Street; a sister-in-law, Linda Bechtold, Lancaster. His brother, Melvin Bechtold, Jr. preceded him in death.
The Memorial Service will be Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA 17584. Greeting time with the family will be 9:30 - 11 a.m. Saturday. Private interment: Bareville Cemetery, Leola. Kindly omit flowers.
