Services for Judith J. Brooks, 65 yrs., of Saratoga Dr., will be conducted from Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009. Rev. Todd Lester and Rev. Chuck Ellestad will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford Co. Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at her residence following an illness.
A native of Franklin Co., she was born, January 9, 1944. She was the former Office Manager for Erika Hancock Insurance Agency Inc. and owner of Rhorer's Hallmark Store. She was a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf, gardening and her many friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce W. Brooks; her two sons, Bruce W. Brooks II and Brian H. Brooks, both of Frankfort; her sister, Nancy Bea Cooper, New Ulm, TX.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Dorothy Harrod Howard. She was preceded in death by her son, Jon Michael Brooks.
Pallbearers will be David R. Lee, J. Bruce Lee, Marvin E. Strong, Laurence E. McCabe, Louis D. Tandy and Roy Sanders.
